TWO HOUSES: Questioning influence.
The house my grandfather built for my family in Jerusalem Heights, Tuscaloosa, Alabama gave me the tools to operate in two worlds within my chosen careers and relationships developed. The flaws were what I learned from. It's what scares us all the most. We hold onto mistakes and decipher through comparisons.
Drugs, lies, and suppression of plans slowly creeped into the house we lived in. Though that led to the drive and push even to make sure to experience everything the world has to offer when given opportunities.
This body of work shows what was learned through narrative but also technique.From materials used, color, and brush work show the education and drive to get everything out of the life offered to me between those two houses I was raised in.
